User Rights Applications!

Hello, everyone! Yes, I have decided that we could definitely use some new admins, rollbacks, and moderators! You must post your application on a bureaucrat's message wall. The bureaucrats are BionicSuperhero, ThePokémonGamer, Andi Cruz, and myself. In your application, you should include what you are applying for, admin, rollback, or moderator, and how many edits you've made to the wiki. The rest is up to you.
Article edit requirements:
Moderator: 25
Rollback: 25
Admin: 75
(I won't be mean about it, if you have 74 edits or something, no biggie. We don't want you making pointless edits just to reach a certain number.)
You may submit your application to up to two bureaucrats. We will promote the first ten or so people who apply. This is just in time for the holidays, and I believe getting promoted would be a great gift! So, if you're qualified, feel free to apply for something, because we'd love to have you on our team! Have a great day!

Recent issue

Hello, everyone. I want to take the time to explain some problems that most of you may have been experiencing in the past day.
Yesterday's afternoon, Wikia Staff locked down the network from editing due to a security concern, which happened on the weekend, similar to the last incident.
What happened was that some anonymous user got access to an account run by Wikia Staff that is used for QA (Quality Assurance) testing. The person, having access to the account, used its staff privileges to close and then mass-redirect many popular wikias to an empty, abandoned one.
The staff, despite the event taking place on usually quiet weekend hours, were able to prevent this situation, and mass-undo these changes pretty quickly. The event, in total, lasted an hour. Wikia Staff then locked their network down from editing while they did some security updates.
We apologize for any stress you had last afternoon editing, but we're back! So let's continue to game on!

Article comments

Hello, everyone.
I'm writing this post to share my proposal. I think we should turn off article comments and start using talk pages. Gamer's Guide Wiki is an encyclopedia, not a forum, and there's an actual forum that can be used in case of commenting. While most of you who visit live action wikias may be used to article comments, as an encyclopedia, we should only be discussing improvements to the articles, not our personal opinions about the topics of the articles, and like I said before, there is an actual forum that can be used in case of commenting. This is an encyclopedia, not a forum, making the commenting section on articles 100% redundant. We have articles for a reason (as little pieces of our encyclopedia that go together to provide the information about the franchise), not to serve as forum boards.
On the other hand, talk pages are more about discussing improvements to the article rather than making comments on our opinions regarding the article's subject, so I think we should switch to that instead.
Don't worry. If we disable article comments and use talk pages, this will not disable blog commenting, only on articles.
If you have any opinions about this, make sure to share them below.

Gamer's Guide to Mastering Junior High

I'm posting here to clear up confusion between Gamer's Guide to Mastering Junior High and Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything.
Basically, Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything is aired by Disney and Gamer's Guide to Mastering Junior High is a different project that's currently in the process of casting.
While they may have characters with same names as those from Pretty Much Everything like Wendell and Ashley, Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything and Gamer's Guide to Mastering Junior High are two different series.
As such, the Una, Lika, Bodie, and Shay pages have been deleted, as they are not canon in Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything as of yet.
When editing a page or creating one about the series, make sure to ask yourself, "is this about Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything or Gamer's Guide to Mastering Junior High?". Or else, the revision will be undone and/or the page deleted if it is Gamer's Guide to Mastering Junior High.
I'm not blaming one person here. I'm just writing this to help everyone so everybody can differentiate the two series. Thank you for your comprehension.

Twitter Account

What if we made a Twitter account for this wiki? A lot of wikis have Twitter accounts. Just an idea.

Spanish Wiki

Hello, everyone. I am making this thread to announce that we officially have a Spanish wiki. To visit the wiki, click here. The Spanish dub of the series Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything is titled La guía del gamer para básicamente todo and we're still waiting for it to start broadcasting in Latin America.
So, that wiki has been created in preparation of the Latin American dub.
You may also realize that this wiki is now linked up to the Spanish wiki, so if you insert [[es:<page title on Spanish wiki>]] into any page, it will create a Languages section at the bottom of the page to point to where users can see the page on the Spanish wiki.
The reason we have that wiki is because the series is being dubbed in Spanish, and more people in the world speak Spanish than English, so that wiki is easily going to fit their language for those that don't speak English like us, so we should try to add more Gamer's Guide wikis for those that speak different languages!
You may share your thoughts on this subject below. Thanks for reading.

Incorrectly licensed images

I've seen images in the wiki activity and our Photos gallery on the wiki, and I'm sick of seeing images where the licensing is simply "This file is in public domain" - no it's not!!
Just because it originates from the Disney ABC television group press doesn't mean it's in public domain. Why? They're Disney - they have the right to distribute that content at all costs, we only use the images to build up on our galleries which are intended to visualize the episodes - so it's fair use!
I have a simple request here. When uploading images, don't make the licensing public domain - it's fair. use. Or else Disney's going to see us claiming their content as free and they're going to be mad at us. So, if you upload an image, don't license it public domain - better yet, license them as fair use.

Bot

I am planning to start a bot, which will require a bot flag so this bot's edits don't clog up the entire wiki activity, but this requires community consensus to pull off. You can vote here. This will be a community decision.
